About this work
Actuarial work is judgment expressed as numbers. This work tests whether models can select an appropriate method, apply it correctly, and be candid about uncertainty.
What you’ll do
- Write reserving and pricing problems with defensible methods
- Check method selection and application, not just arithmetic
- Assess how uncertainty and assumptions are communicated
- Advise on evaluation design for quantitative reasoning
What we’re looking for
- Actuarial qualification or substantial quantitative risk experience
- Practical experience with reserving, pricing or capital modelling
- No AI background required
Time commitment
5–12 hours per week, projects typically run 6–12 weeks
Pay and how you’re paid
$95–$150 per hour, paid every two weeks by bank transfer
